On-Demand Dog Walking App Launches in Texas (I’m hoping that it will launch in Boston!)
An app that provides dog owners with instant access to dog walkers is moving to Texas.
The app, called Wag!, has so far been rolled out in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Chicago, Orange County and San Diego.
It has proved popular with dog owners, so the company is spreading out nationally. Austin will be the eighth Wag! city.
Wag! aims to take the hassle out of finding a dog walker. The app connects dog owners with insured and bonded dog walkers, who can be summoned with as little as 30-minutes lead time.
Owners can track their pooch’s walk in real time using their Smartphone, and receive a “pup report” at the end of each walk (this includes pictures, video and pertinent “pee and poop” data).
Wag! users pay $20 for a 30-minute walk, with an additional $5 per dog in the same household. Find out more at http://www.wagwalking.com.
