Everett Account Conversion COMPLETED!

What You Need to Know:

The operational merger of Everett members accounts to all Members Plus Credit Union core systems is July 30 through August 1.

Please note if you have Everett accounts and MPCU accounts, this conversion affects the Everett accounts only.

General Questions


Q: When will the System Conversion happen?
A: The system conversion will begin on Tuesday, July 30 at 5:00 pm and will continue through Thursday, August 1, 2019. Online banking, Mobile Banking, Bill Pay, Telephone Banking, and Co-Op Shared Branching will also be unavailable as we complete the conversion.


Q: Will I still be able to make ATM withdrawals and use my debit and credit cards?
A: Yes. ATM withdrawals and debit card transaction amounts will be limited during the conversion process beginning Wednesday, July 31 through Thursday, August 1. Your ATM and debit card limits will be reduced during the conversion.

Daily ATM and debit card limits during conversion:
– ATM $300
– POS $500

Credit card limits will not change. Continue to use your Everett VISA credit card until further notice.

Q: Do I need to order a new MPCU VISA debit/ATM or credit card?
A: No. MPCU has issued new debit cards with new numbers that are being delivered to current cardholders beginning the week of July 15. If you have any recurring transactions connected to your debit card, you will need to update your card information with the vendor.
As part of the systems conversion, existing cards issued by Everett Credit Union will be disabled after Friday, August 2. You will be able to activate and begin using the new MPCU debit card and should destroy your current Everett Visa debit and ATM cards on August 2.

If you have an active account and did not receive a MPCU debit card, contact the credit union at 781-905-1500.

Your Visa credit cards will continue to function normally. You do not need to order a new Visa credit card. A new card will be sent to you in the future.


Q: Can I use Shared Branching during the conversion?
A: No. Shared Branching will not be accessible during conversion. You will still be able to use your debit card at shared branching ATM’s, but your limits will be reduced during the conversion.


Q: Do I need to order new checks?
A: Members Plus Credit Union has provided a free box of checks to all Everett Credit Union members. The new checks have been mailed. If you have not received these checks, please contact us at 781-905-1500. You will not incur any cost for the new checks.
You will need to destroy your current supply, as your routing number will change to 211080709. Begin to use your new checks after August 1.

Account Number Questions


Q: Is my account number changing?
A: Very few members will be impacted by account number changes. Those members have been contacted individually prior to the conversion.

Direct Deposits, Automatic Payments, and Transfers Questions


Q: Will my direct deposit or automatic payments continue to post after the system conversion?
A: Yes. All direct deposits and automatic payments to or from any of your accounts will continue to be processed as usual.


Q: Will my automatic transfers between my accounts continue to post after the system conversion?
A: Yes. Automatic transfers between your respective accounts (ex: from your checking to your savings) will continue to post as they did prior to the system conversion.


Q: Will automatic payments from third party vendors be processed on the scheduled date?
A: Yes. Scheduled payments from third party vendors will be processed on authorized payment dates (ex: mortgage and credit card payments).


Q: Will my automatic ACH loan payment set up from another financial institution continue to post after the system conversion?
A: Yes. Automatic ACH loan payments transferred from an outside financial institution will continue to process normally after the system conversion.

Dividend and Interest Questions


Q: Will dividend and interest payments be affected by the system conversion?
A: No. On July 31, 2019, interest payments will be posted to your qualifying accounts for the month. Dividends and interest payments will continue posting as scheduled at the end of each month or quarter.

Online Banking Questions

Q: How will I access online banking after August 1?

1.Determine Your Member Number
For your security, we will NOT be mailing out member numbers. If you need assistance determining your member number, please contact a Members Plus Service representative by calling 781-905-1500.

2. Website
On August 2, you will begin using www.memberspluscu.org for all information and account access.

3. Enroll in Internet Banking on August 2
As a member of MPCU, you will have access to our convenient Internet and Mobile Banking, as well as BillPay. To access your accounts, you will need to enroll by following the steps below:
To enroll in MPCU’s Internet Banking on or after August 2:

  1. Go to www.memberspluscu.org
  2. Click on “ENROLL: ONLINE BANKING”. Make sure to have your member number and your PIN number. PIN is last four (4) of SSN.

Q: Will my account history be available online after the system conversion?
A: No, your online transaction history prior to August 1, 2019, will not be viewable. You will need to refer to your statements for history.


Q: Will my past e-Statement copies be available online after the system conversion?
A: Yes. Past e-Statement copies stored within online banking will be transferred to the new online banking system effective July 31, 2019.


Q: Will the system conversion change the way I access Online Bill Pay?
A
: No. You will still access your Online Bill Pay account with a single sign-in through the new online banking system.


Q: Will my online bill payments be affected by the system conversion?
A: No. Your Online Bill Pay account will not be affected by the system conversion. Profile and payee information will transfer to the MPCU bill pay system and existing scheduled payments will still be made. No bill pay history will be transferred. Prior to July 30 be sure to print or save your payment history to your own device.

Mobile Banking


Q: Will the system conversion change the way I access Mobile Banking?

A: Yes. You will need to visit the app store on your device and type in Members Plus Credit Union to download the app for your iPhone or Android.


Q: Will the system conversion change the way I access Mobile Deposit (Remote Deposit Capture)?

A: Yes. Once you download the Mobile Banking app for your device and accept the terms and conditions, you will have access to your accounts. If you select Check Deposit you must accept the Terms and Conditions for mobile deposit the first time.

Loan Questions


Q: Will my automatic loan payment transfers continue to post after the system conversion?
A: Yes. Automatic loan payments transferred from your savings or checking accounts will continue to process normally after the system conversion. Automatic loan payments will be processed at the end of the day.


Q: I receive payment coupons for my loan payments; will I still receive the coupons?
A: Continue to use the coupon books you have. A new coupon book will not be sent out.


Q: Will my automatic ACH loan payment set up from another financial institution continue to post after the system conversion?
A: Yes. Automatic ACH loan payments transferred from an outside financial institution will continue to process normally after the system conversion.

Statement Questions


Q: How will the system conversion affect my account statement?

A: The statement may have a different look, but the information will remain the same. All statements will be mailed for July 31, 2019, including those accounts set up to receive statements electronically. After July, the statement will have a different look, but the information will remain the same. All statements will be delivered normally (mail or email) depending on your account settings.

Q: Do I need to re-enroll in online e-Statements?
A: No. If you are currently enrolled to receive e-Statements you will continue to receive e-statements


Q: How will the system conversion affect my VISA credit card statement?
A: Credit card statements will not be affected by the conversion. July 2019 statements and all future statements will continue to be delivered normally (mail or email) depending on your account settings.


Q: Will my past statement copies (account and credit card) be available online after the system conversion?
A: Yes. Past statement copies stored online within online banking will be transferred to the new system effective July 31, 2019.


Q: Will the credit union be able to provide me copies of past statements if I am unable to access them myself?
A: Yes. MPCU will have the ability to retrieve past statement copies if needed. Research fees may be assessed.

ONLINE BANKING:

The current system will shut down Tuesday, July 30 at 5:00 p.m. If you have the login bookmarked in your browser, you will need to delete it. Online Banking and Mobile Banking login ID and passwords will not convert over to the MPCU system. After Thursday, August 1, you will need to enroll in Online Banking. Please make sure you have your member number and PIN number. The PIN is the last four (4) digits of your SSN.

MOBILE BANKING:

The current Everett CU mobile banking app will no longer work after Tuesday, July 30 at 5:00 p.m. You will need to delete it from your mobile device. You will need to visit the app store and download the Members Plus Credit Union app for your iPhone or Android after Thursday, August 1.

BILL PAY:

The current system will shut down Tuesday, July 30 at 5:00 p.m. The last day to schedule a payment is Monday, July 29, with service to resume after Thursday, August 1. Profile and payee information will transfer to the MPCU bill pay system and be available after August 1. No bill payment history will be transferred. Prior to Tuesday, July 30 be sure to print or save your payment transaction history to your own device.

TELEPHONE BANKING:

The current telephone banking will shut down Wednesday, July 31 at 1:00 p.m. The new telephone numbers are 781-306-0509 or 1-866-236-MPCU (6728). After Thursday, August 1, you will need to enroll in telephone banking. Please make sure you have your member number and PIN number (last four (4) digits of your SSN).

CO-OP Shared Branching:

The Everett accounts will not be accessible in the Shared Branching network on Thursday, August 1. This includes other participating credit unions.

Sprig Remote Deposit Capture (RDC):

The current system will no longer be available after Sunday, July 28. MPCU Mobile Banking has RDC in the application.

ATM, Debit and Credit Cards:

ATM withdrawals and Debit card transaction amounts will be limited during the conversion process beginning Wednesday, July 31 through Thursday, August 1. Your ATM and Debit card limits will decrease during the conversion. Credit card limits will not change.

MAKE NOTE: Daily ATM and Debit card limits during conversion will be:

  • ATM $300
  • Debit/POS $500


Here’s Your Conversion To-Do List

Taking action prior to July 30 will minimize any inconvenience or interruption to your MPCU services.

✓ Note the conversion dates on your calendar

The conversion will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30 and will continue through Thursday, August 1. All MPCU branches will be opened regular hours throughout the conversion process. All services will be available on Friday, August 2.

✓ Schedule online bill payments in advance of the conversion

The last day to schedule a payment is Monday, July 29. Payment history stored online within bill pay will not be transferred to the MPCU system effective August 1. Be sure to print or save your payment transaction history to your own device prior to Tuesday, July 30.

✓ Sign up for eStatements

After the conversion, all historical statements will be available to you. Members who receive paper statements will continue to receive their statements on a monthly or quarterly basis without interruption.

✓ Take care of special transactions before the conversion dates

Please visit the Everett branch for any special in-branch transactions such as wires or bank drafts as these services will not be available during the conversion on Thursday, August 1.

✓ Keep enough cash on hand

Daily ATM withdrawal and Debit card transaction amounts will be limited during the conversion process beginning on Wednesday, July 31.

✓ Write down your account numbers for easy reference

We recommend that prior to Tuesday, July 30 you record your account numbers and keep them for reference after the conversion.

Will the Everett branch be closed during the computer system conversion?

No, all Members Plus branches will be open on August 1, 2019. However, Everett members will have limited availability to financial transactional services. More details will be provided to ensure minimal disruption during the computer system conversion.

What do I need to do with my accounts?

Without having to do anything, you will automatically become a member of Members Plus Credit Union. All of your deposit accounts and balances will be transferred to Members Plus at the rates in effect as of August 1, 2019. Your loans will transfer over with the same interest rate, payment, due date and terms as you currently have. As an added benefit you will have access to more savings and loan products, additional services and more locations at which you can perform transactions.

Will the existing office remain open?

Yes. The Everett Branch location located at 650 Broadway, Everett, MA will remain open.

Where does Members Plus Credit Union have branch locations?

Members Plus has several branch locations to serve you. The main office is located at 29 High Street, Medford, MA. In addition, there are branches located at:
1. Adams Village, Dorchester Branch, 494 Gallivan Boulevard, Dorchester, MA
2. Mass Ave. Branch, 1165 Massachusetts Ave., Dorchester, MA *(open to Eversource employees only)
3. Norwood Branch, 111 Lenox Street, Norwood, MA
4. Plymouth Branch, 53 Commerce Way Plaza, Plymouth, MA (new branch opening in late July 2019)

Is my personal information safe and will my funds remain insured?

Yes. Members Plus has been in business for more than 75 years and considers privacy and protection of member personal information its highest priority. Members Plus uses state-of-the-art technology to protect your information and all of its staff are trained to ensure member confidentiality. Members Plus does not disclose member information to any third parties unless it is authorized by law.

All Members Plus accounts continue to be insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Share Insurance Fund up to $250,000 per account. In addition, Excess Share and Deposit Insurance from Massachusetts Credit Union Share Insurance Corporation (MSIC) is provided and insures balances above the federal deposit insurance provided by NCUA.

Will my account number change?

Very few members will be impacted by account number changes. Those members are being contacted individually prior to the conversion.

Can I still use my current checks, debit card and/or credit card, etc.?

Yes, continue to utilize your current checks, debit card, credit card, etc. as you would today. As soon as we get closer to the operational merger date, additional communications will be provided. Those communications, via email and USPS mail, will provide you with important details and outline any transition periods to these products.


Will I continue to have access to my accounts through Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Bill Pay, etc.?

Yes, continue to access Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Bill Pay, etc. in the same manner you do now. More communication pertaining to any online and mobile banking access changes will be communicated closer to the Operational Merger Effective Date of August 1, 2019.

What if I am already a member of Members Plus CU? Can I combine my accounts? Can I keep them separate if I wish to do so?

If you are already a member of Members Plus CU, your Everett Credit Union Savings Accounts, Checking Accounts and Loans will transfer to your current Members Plus account. After August 1, 2019, you will see a new Savings Share Suffix, Checking Suffix, Loan Suffix, etc. on your account.

Will my Direct Deposit and payroll deduction stay the same?

Yes. If you currently have Direct Deposit of your payroll check, payroll deduction or direct deposit of pension or social security to your account, it will automatically transfer to Members Plus without you having to do anything.

If I have an Everett Credit Union Checking account, will I need new checks?

Yes, Members Plus Credit Union will provide a free box of checks to all Everett Credit Union members. The new checks will be mailed and arrive no later than July 22, 2019. If you do not receive these checks, please contact us at 781-905-1500. You will not incur any cost for the new checks.

Will rates change?

The rates in effect for Members Plus on the date of the legal merger (October 1, 2018) are the rates for all products and services offered to you currently. Members Plus offers more variety in loan products, deposit products, and more convenient service. What about fees?

The fee schedule for Members Plus are the effective fees assessed on accounts as of the effective date of the merger, October 1, 2018. You can visit our website for the current Rate & Fee Schedule.

Which ATM Network will be available?

Members Plus utilizes the CO-OP surcharge-free network, with nearly 30,000 ATMs locations nationwide.

2018 Tax Form Information

If you were a member of Everett Credit Union in 2018 and you signed up for e-Notices, your tax forms can be found in your Everett Online Banking account. Please visit the Everett website, log into the online system, click on the link for electronic notices (located on the Self Service tab) to get your tax forms. If you are not signed up for e-Notices the tax forms were sent via USPS mail. If you need a copy of your Everett tax forms please call 617-389-9000.

If you joined Members Plus Credit Union in 2018 as the result of opening a deposit account or getting a loan, you may also have tax forms from Members Plus Credit Union and it was mailed to the address on file. If you need a copy of your tax forms please contact MPCU at 781-905-1500.
1099-INT forms are sent out only to those members whose total interest earned for the year was $10.00 or more. If the total interest you earned was less than $10.00, no interest form would have been sent to you. Your Year-to-Date (YTD) interest information is always available on your December statement(s). A YTD summary for interest dividends earned will be listed for each interest-earning deposit account.
1098 forms are sent out if the Mortgage Interest Paid by Member is greater than $600.00.

Your accounts and loans are still at Everett CU

At this time, there have been no changes to your existing accounts. Although the merger is official, it will take time to migrate your accounts and loans over to the MembersPlus core operating system. Until they are moved you will still access your accounts via Online Banking and Visa Credit Card Login on the Everett website.

You should continue to use your Everett debit card, credit card, and checks. Any electronic deposits, payments, or debits to and from your Everett accounts will continue to run as scheduled.

All MembersPlus branches are available for you to use

You can visit any MembersPlus CU branch make a deposit, withdrawal, or loan payment on your existing Everett accounts. You can also visit any MembersPlus branch to open new accounts and apply for loans. Be sure to let us know you’re a new MembersPlus CU member from Everett!

Open new accounts and new loans at MembersPlus CU

New deposit accounts and loans will be opened with MembersPlus CU. During this transition period, new accounts and loans opened at MPCU will be accessed via MPCU Online Banking and existing accounts will be accessed in Everett Online Banking. After the migration of Everett accounts is complete, all accounts and loans will be available in MPCU Online Banking.
