Dear Members Plus Credit Union Member,
We are writing to share an important update about the future of Members Plus Credit Union
to ask for your vote on the proposed partnership with Metro Credit Union.
Linked on this page is the electronic ballot for the proposed merger between Members Plus Credit
Union and Metro Credit Union. This is an important decision for our credit union and our
membership, and your participation in this process is important.
Why this Partnership Matters
Your Board of Directors has spent considerable time evaluating how best to position
Members Plus Credit Union for long-term success in an increasingly competitive and rapidly
changing financial services environment. Like many community-based financial
institutions, we continue to face evolving member expectations, growing technology demands,
increased regulatory and operational pressures.
Throughout this process, the Board carefully considered a range of strategic options with one
priority in mind: continuing to provide strong service, value, and stability for our members well
into the future.
After thoughtful evaluation, the Board believes that partnering with Metro Credit Union is the best
path forward for our members, employees, and communities.

What Happens Next?
Before this merger can move forward, it must receive approval from both the regulators and
Members Plus Credit Union members.
Regulatory approval to proceed was granted on August 4, 2026, and a special meeting of the
membership to vote on the merger will be held on October 16, 2026. If approved by the
membership, the merger is expected to be completed later this year.

The Members Plus Credit Union Board of Directors unanimously recommends a YES vote in
favor of this proposal.

What’s happening between Metro Credit Union and Members Plus Credit Union?
Metro Credit Union and Members Plus Credit Union have announced their intent to merge, forming a partnership designed to strengthen service, expand access, and support members and communities for the long term.
Is the merger final?
Not yet. Regulatory approval to proceed was granted on August 4, 2026, and a special meeting of the membership to vote on the merger will be held on October 16, 2026. If approved by the membership, the merger is expected to be effective November 1, 2026.
How do I vote?
Members Plus Credit Union members can vote by mail using the ballot included in their mailed letter, online by selecting Vote Now on the designated landing page, or in person at the special membership meeting on October 16, 2026. Please note that only Members Plus members who joined on or before June 1, 2026, are eligible to vote.
Why are the credit unions merging?
This partnership allows both organizations to combine strengths, invest in innovation, and better meet members’ evolving financial needs while staying true to credit union values like local service, financial empowerment, and community engagement.
What are the benefits for members?
Pending approval, members can expect expanded branch access, greater investment in technology, continued people‑first service, and a stronger, more resilient combined credit union for the future.
Will I still see the same employees at my local branch?
Yes. Employees from both credit unions will continue serving members, and all Members Plus employees have been offered positions to join the Metro Credit Union team.
Do I need to do anything right now?
If you would like to vote on the merger, your response is required by October 16. Otherwise, no action is required at this time. Members will be notified if any action is needed in the future.
Will my accounts change right now?
No. There are no immediate changes to your accounts, services, or how you bank today. You can continue to use your accounts as you normally do.
Will my account numbers, debit cards, or online banking change?
Not at this time. If any changes are needed in the future, they will be communicated clearly and well in advance with detailed instructions.
Is my money still safe and insured?
Yes. Deposits will continue to be federally insured by the NCUA, and deposits above NCUA limits will continue to be insured by MSIC, just as they are today.
Will branch locations close?
No branch closures have been announced. Pending approval, the combined organization will expand access while maintaining trusted local branch relationships.
Which credit union name will be used?
Metro Credit Union will be the continuing credit union. Additional details about branding and naming will be shared as the merger process progresses.
Will fees, rates, or products change?
There are no immediate changes to fees, rates, or products as a result of the announcement. Any future changes would be communicated clearly and in advance.
When would the merger take effect?
If approved, the anticipated effective date of the merger is November 1, 2026.
How will members be kept informed?
Members will receive regular updates through email, mail, branch communications, and online channels as the merger moves through the approval process.
